His name is Max. It used to be “Fatty” or “Fatso” and now it’s officially Max. Unofficially I call him “Cuddles”, “Fluffy” and a bunch of other cheesy names.
He’s around 1.5 years old but he’s been with me for less than two months. And another but – I feel as if we’ve been together my whole life.
I adopted him from a local NGO that takes care of stray and abandoned animals. He used to be someone’s pet until that someone abandoned him. Lucky for him a stranger picked him up from the street, took care of him and contacted Animal Rescue Sofia (the NGO). They put his story up on their website and that’s where I found him – online. Need and a whim drove me to adopting a cat but instant sympathy made me adopt him. Sure, my life has changed both in positive and negative ways. There are more responsibilities, more expenses, more chaos and more mess in my days (and nights). But there is also the hairy ball of white and ginger that waits for me at the door and greets me with an impatient “Meow!” There’s also the living being that depends on me, puts its trust in me and demands attention and affection. And there’s the purring…
He’s very smart, very creative, very curious, very playful and very lovable. He’s very in every possible way (including the naughty and annoying ones). He’s the cat that owns my heart.
