#24: Mom and voice chat

Ok, this post is soooo not about my mom and me being so emo. You see my mother is like 5-6000 miles away from me right now. We’ve had rough times, it’s true. But in the end our relationship became better, we are close now and I really miss her. And I love her, although I used to blame her a for whole lot of stuff back in my teens.
These days I’m looking forward to hearing from her. And is there a better way for that than via Skype! We have a small talk at least once a week (somehow I’ve become so busy that I’m usually out of the house when she’s online). We chat about silly stuff – the weather, work, health, relationships. Nothing serious really. However, this post is soooo about me being thankful for the internet, webcams and mics. I can’t imagine having to send her snail mail and waiting for weeks for her reply.
I love you Mom, and well, yeah, I am pretty fond of Skype as well.
